Best Buy has cut $50 from the price of Acer's Predator XB27OU, a 27-inch QD-OLED gaming monitor, leaving it at $329.99 as of October 23, 2026. The offer is aimed at gamers who have been weighing a move from an IPS monitor to an OLED screen and want a lower-cost way to do it.
The display uses a 26.5-inch QD-OLED panel with a maximum resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels, commonly called QHD or 2K. According to Tom's Hardware, that resolution suits a mid-range gaming PC, since the graphics card should not have much trouble meeting its frame rate and resolution demands.
Speed is a main selling point. The monitor runs at a 240Hz refresh rate and has a gray-to-gray response time of 0.03ms, a figure made possible by the OLED technology. Tom's Hardware says this gives games smooth motion and avoids the ghosting seen on slower monitors.
The screen also fully supports AMD's FreeSync Premium. The feature matches the monitor's refresh rate to the frame rate a game is producing, which removes screen tearing and makes for a better gaming experience.
Color performance is the other area where QD-OLED panels stand out. The XB27OU is rated for 99% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and a Delta E accuracy figure below 2. It also supports HDR10, a 10-bit color standard that improves contrast, color depth and brightness compared with standard dynamic range. The technology is known for deep blacks and strong contrast, which can make games look more vivid.
For connections, the monitor has two HDMI 2.1 ports and one DisplayPort 1.4 port. That lets owners hook up a gaming PC along with a couple of game consoles on the same screen.
Tom's Hardware presents the discount as a good opportunity to bring the latest display technology into a gaming setup at a modest cost. Shoppers interested in the monitor can find it at Best Buy at the reduced $329.99 price.
